On February 5, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of a professional holiday – Armament Day of the Armed Forces.
The role of domestic armed forces in ensuring uninterrupted supply of the Belarusian army with everything necessary cannot be overestimated. Every day, under conditions of strict discipline and high professional responsibility, they carry out tasks to develop new and modernize existing weapons.
The success of the work of entire teams, the engineering and technical staff of enterprises in the defense sector of the economy, depends on increasing the combat readiness of the Belarusian troops, who are responsible for maintaining the national security and defense capability of the country.
As Major General Andrei Fedin, Deputy Minister of Defense for Armaments and Chief of Armaments of the Armed Forces, noted in one of his interviews, based on the experience of the conflict taking place today in Ukraine, “the priorities previously chosen (by Belarus) regarding the development of weapons systems are correct and no significant adjustments are required. Our strategy is unchanged. The first area of work is, of course, maintaining the existing weapons fleet in good condition. And the second direction of work is the phased planned equipping of the Armed Forces and its structural components with new modern models of weapons and equipment. First of all, these are missile forces and artillery, air defense, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, unmanned aerial systems, and means of combating them.”
Andrei Fedin emphasized that last year alone more than 70 different types of weapons and equipment were put into service. The most significant deliveries to the Armed Forces are the Mi-35M attack helicopters, the V-300 Polonez-M missile system, the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, and the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
The Precision Electromechanics Plant congratulates military personnel, civilian personnel of enterprises in the defense sector of the economy, and veterans of the Armed Forces on their professional holiday!
We wish you perseverance, good health, prosperity and new great successes in strengthening the defense capability of Belarus.
