On February 16, 2024, a meeting of the anti-corruption commission was held at the Republican Unitary Production Enterprise “Precision Electromechanics Plant”.
The meeting addressed issues of the inadmissibility and timely prevention of corruption and offenses, as well as compliance with procurement procedures. Emphasis is placed on preventing violations of procurement legislation, including in terms of establishing non-alternative technical requirements for the subject of procurement, limiting the participation of domestic manufacturers in the procurement procedure.
Also discussed at the meeting was a summary of corruption offenses for January-February 2024, posted on the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus.
The sphere of procurement of goods (works, services) as one of the most corruption-dangerous areas of the financial and economic activities of any enterprise deserves special attention in the fight against corruption, since in this area there are significant opportunities for illegal activities. Therefore, the procurement segment must be under the constant personal control of each head of a structural unit.
You need to understand that manifestations of corruption lead to irreparable consequences for both employees and managers. Accordingly, and in general for an enterprise that takes on all reputational risks. Based on this, when performing official duties, employees of the enterprise must strictly follow the norms of the law, avoiding its violation. Anti-corruption work must be carried out on an ongoing basis and daily.
A positive result in the fight against corruption is provided by sudden flying control of production facilities, storage areas for inventory items and other enterprise facilities.
