In accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of the State Committee for Military Industry, the Republican Unitary Production Enterprise “Precision Electromechanics Plant” in the interests of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Belarus has developed a unified explosive-stabilizing module (UESM) for use as part of hand-held fragmentation grenades (RG) from attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Unlike the operation of hand grenades with a standard fuse, the module causes the detonation of the RG due to the inertial impact mechanism.
Among the features of UVSM are:
- ease of assembly, including in field (test) conditions;
- safety during official handling;
- use of attack drones from a height of 50 meters or more (depending on the characteristics of the UAV);
- possibility of installing it in the body of a hand grenade.
The enterprise carried out a set of measures during which the ability of the UESM to function as part of hand grenades and the safety of its use during official handling were determined. The module has also been adapted for use with attack UAVs.
From January to April 2024, the company’s specialists, together with representatives of law enforcement agencies, conducted field flight tests of the unified module. Based on the results of preliminary tests, the UESM was modernized, allowing it to be equipped with various (interchangeable) initiating explosives.
The results of field flight tests are positive.
