On May 12, 2024, our country celebrates the Day of the State Flag, State Emblem and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
This holiday, dedicated to the three main state symbols that bind together the heroic past, present and future of the Belarusian state, is intended to consolidate in the consciousness of the people of our country the historical value of the most important attributes of the sovereignty and independence of the Fatherland.
The flag, coat of arms and anthem are symbols of the national unity of Belarusians. Unity that is based on a strong connection between times and generations, a sense of the Motherland and a caring attitude towards one’s Fatherland.
“The modern state flag, coat of arms and anthem of Belarus are symbols of our people’s victories” – the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko said today in his speech at the State Flag Square of the Republic of Belarus.
The President noted that in Belarus, state symbols represent the unparalleled strength of spirit and the contribution of the people of the republic to the Great Victory over the “brown plague”.
“They also represent the labor feat of our fathers and grandfathers, who rebuilt the republic on the principles of social equality and justice. The modern state flag, coat of arms and anthem are already symbols of our victories: sports, creative, labor”.
